Sadhana is definitely one way to stretch the heart and mind

My very first sadhana was so many years ago i cannot remember the date.
But i have never forgotten the experience. I was immediately hooked. I never missed a year until started to co-lead them.

Not only did my yoga practice grow and change but my relationship to my body mind and spirit grew in ways that I could never have dreamed possible.

There is no doubt cultivating a daily yoga practice will change your life. Peace, strength, inner clarity, and a sense of accomplishment are just some of the many benefits. These are powerful but there is certain magic that arises from sharing that journey with a group of other beings.

First there is the power of embarking on a shared intention. The shared willingness to take our attention inward, to commit and hour a day to the breath, the body, the mind, the heart,,and the spirit.

Then there is the day to day trials of getting up each morning, and facing whatever the practice has in store. Some days are bliss.  Other days feel like you have embarked on some crazed endeavour. These are the days that sadhana takes you to to the depths of your being to find the strength to get through. The end the result is personal transformation and a deep bonding with your sadhana mates that transcends words.

As wonderful as all of this is not much beats the shared transformation that occurs with the natural world. As you go through your daily yoga process, the earth day by day moves into the full boom of spring. Each morning you complete  your daily sadhana, the world really is a little more bright and alive.
